Snorkeling
Come on now.  Lets be honest - we all still love snorkeling, and if you don't then you're not doing it right.  From the beginner snorkelor to the professional SCUBA diver we are sure to make this adventure fun.  Get kitted out with your suit, fins, mask and snorkel and you're off.  We can take things nice and easy and spot some life from the surface... or we can take a few breaths and move on a little deeper.

Adventure Diver
The Adventure Diver certification is the next step from Open Water certification.  This course takes a wide range of specialty dives and lets you have a taste of something a little different.  Any three of the Adventure dives we offer means you can then apply for the Adventure Diver certification.

Advanced Open Water Diver
The Advanced course allows you to choose 5 Adventure Dives from a long list of exciting topics, see Adventure Diver.  Study and experience a Night dive, or the adrenaline rush of a Deep dive.  We cater for many different Adventure dives from Photography to Mixed Gases.  Full certification provides you with Advanced certification and theoretical knowledge and experience to plan and make dives to a maximum depth of 30m.

This certification is perfect for divers who want to experience other avenues of the recreational sport of SCUBA Diving.  Also perfect for the traveling diver as many dive sites around the world drop to depths in excess of those you may have experienced before.

Rescue Diver
Every diver should be a rescue diver!!  This course is a must for all divers due to the topics discussed, many of which may not be considered by even the most experienced of divers.  Observation of potential problems, ability to rescue other divers no matter what the situation and most importantly of all the ability to rescue yourself.  Self reliance can sometimes be very important and although any Rescue diver hopes never to use their skills, the knowledge and experience is a definite asset to your diving ability.  This course requires a First Aid certificate as a prerequisite; in water skills involve managing accident scenes and providing assistance in the form of rescue breathing.  Training dives take place mainly on the surface however two dives are required in order to practice searching techniques.

DAN Senior First Aid
Gain a Senior  First Aid certification providing experience in basic medic first aid and Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR).  A great skill for the whole family to have!  This course is required as a prerequisite for the Rescue Diver course however, in the event of an incident at home or work they are great skills to have - its great to feel secure that you'll at least have a sporting chance.  Don't risk not being able to help just because you don't have the knowledge and skills to do so.

This course is provided thanks to the knowledge and experience of Divers Alert Network (D.A.N).  This certification has Australian Work Cover approval.

Scuba Tune-Up
Had a few months out of the water?  Feel like there are some areas of your hobby that you would like to go over again?  From Open Water to Rescue we can put you through a refresher that'll suit whatever your need.  This experience allows you to go through a few skills in a confined water environment and also have a fully supervised ocean dive with a SCUBA Instructor.

Divemaster
Give this course a go if you fancy starting on the first rung of the Professional SCUBA Diving ladder.  This is a fantastic course that develops your dive theory, skills and attitude to the professional level required by PADI.  More involved than any of the other courses offered this certification is obtained in a minimum of 2 weeks.  Mapping projects, skills, several areas of diving theory, teaching and conducting courses, selling equipment and meeting people ensures you can really fall into the Professional Diver role.  We love this course because it means we get to produce clones of us!!  We are all things SCUBA!

A great certification suited to those interested in traveling or working in the diving industry.  Also great for recreational divers who think there isn't possibly anything else to learn.

Specialty dives involve a more in-depth look at the variety of ways we can dive, often introducing new skills and equipment.  Below are a number of specialty dives we can offer to those of you who would like to learn more about a certain aspect of diving, or those interested in obtaining their Master SCUBA Diver Certification (5 specialties).

Photography Specialty
Divers like the motto 'take only memories and leave only bubbles'; well how would you like to take away some of your SCUBA Diving adventures?  Photography is very rewarding especially when traveling and its not likely you'll return to a certain spot.  Technology has now evolved to provide us with great hardware that'll handle the rigours of the underwater environment and provide us with film and digital images of our favourite places.  Good underwater images are truly mystical to behold.

We love shiny things - and we love nothing more than to take new shiny things into the harsh salt water world!!  Join us!

Enriched Air Specialty
Would you like increased bottom time on those deeper dives?  Great wreck at 30m but its all over in 20 minutes!!  Enriched Air Nitrox is a gas mixture just like air but with an increased amount of Oxygen.  Using Nitrox at depth poses many risks but also has many advantages such as a reduced absorption of Nitrogen therefore reduced risks of decompression sickness and increased bottom time at depth.

Ideal for the 'techy' diver in you - and lets be honest, its in us all a little bit.  Breathe gases other than air and reap the reward.

Boat Diver Specialty - Learn more about the specifics of Boat diving.

Drift Diver Specialty
Currents can be a little troublesome at times but there is a extremely fun way to use them to your advantage - jump in and sort your buoyancy out, then ride it!!  Drift diving enables you to cover long distances effortlessly and therefore make for longer, relaxed, more enjoyable diving.  Learn the advantages and hazards associated with Drift diving and see what new wonders it'll open up for you.

Some dive sites are only Drift dives so this is a great course for those wishing to dive them!  Its also great for the diver who finds unexpected currents a little uncomfortable because you will learn  to control your dive effortlessly whilst in a Drift.

Wreck Diver Specialty
Its dark, its a confined space, a line and reel is your only way out!  How cool does that sound?  This course provides you with the knowledge and experience required to plan and conduct wreck penetration dives.  You will be lead into overhead environments; it requires great buoyancy, special skills, techniques and equipment.

Great for wreck divers who want to look at their favourite dive sites from a different perspective.  Great for divers who want a bit more challenge in their recreational hobby.

Night Diver Specialty
Night diving has many appeals for many different reasons.  Many fish sleep but can still be seen, nocturnal life comes out to play, you're surrounded by a snug blackness, save the white glow of your torch. Its exciting and relaxing all in one!  Due to colour absorption in suprisingly shallow depths, life appears quite differently during the day.  Lots of colour is filtered out by the water due to it being a dense medium. At night, take a nice powerful torch with you and the light you emit has little chance to disappear - that means lots of colours, more vibrant than you'll ever see them by day.

A must for anyone who has not yet experienced a night dive.  All those Rescue divers out there who haven't done a night dive yet should book in...... a qualified Rescue diver could be asked to conduct a search at night, ahem!!

Fish Identification Specialty
So what did you see?  Oh, there was that fish.  That shiny one, you know.  It was silver, or was it grey?  I think it had a spot..... or was it a stripe?

Learn about what you're seeing down there with this Fish Identification course!!  There are plenty of fish under the water and everyone understands how difficult it can be at times.  But, there are a few patterns we can learn to help us on our way.  Learn how to identify fish families and individuals, and gain a more personal look at the creatures down there.

Underwater Naturalist Specialty
Learn some more about the life you are seeing under the water with a Naturalist Specialty course.  We see a large variety of different plants and animals every time we dive - from weed to urchins, and it would be great if we understood a little bit more about who they are and how they live.  The Naturalist course offers some hints and tips that make identification a little easier. Before you know it, you'll realise the underwater realm if full of fascinating facts.

Ideal for divers wishing to make their diving a little bit more personal, giving the life down there the respect it deserves.

Navigation Specialty
Ever been lost...... underwater?  Losing your way can be daunting at the best of times. When we are diving this is no different and due to the almost alien environment, added pressures and concerns are not uncommon.  Learn how to keep your bearing no matter what the situation with the Navigator Specialty program.

Search and Recover
The Search and Recovery course introduces divers to the techniques and equipment required for searching underwater areas and recovering medium to large objects. You'll learn a variety of different search patterns, how to rig a lift bag and how to safely bring  objects to the surface.

Deep Diver Specialty
The Deep Diver course offers a certification that will allow you to dive to 40m upon completion.  You'll learn how to plan and conduct deep dives , taking into consideration such things as the increased effects of Nitrogen Narcosis, special equipment requirements, controlled ascent and descent techniques, good buoyancy and increased air consumption.

Equipment
Your equipment is your lifeline underwater and we can't go diving without it. This specialty looks at the different types of equipment available to divers today and examines the accessories that are most appropriate for different styles of diving.  Find out what a 'hang tank' does, when to use a 'pony' bottle and what a 'lift bag' does.  The course also covers the routine maintenance that should be carried out on your own equipment.  If you look after it, it'll look after you!

Master Scuba Diver
Master Scuba Diver is a PADI recognition of superior knowledge and skills in the recreational diving field and can be obtained by completing any five specialty courses plus the Rescue Diver course.

DAN Oxygen Provider Course
Divers know that Oxygen is the best medicine for an injured diver for many reasons.  Gain practical and theoretical knowledge and learn the benefits and hazards of using Oxygen.  The certification you earn enables you to safely administer oxygen to injured persons and gives you hands on experience of the equipment you may encounter.

 Chamber Diving
Decompression Chamber therapy is a very interesting topic, can be related to diving but is more an area of theory that not many people choose to discover.  Sit in on a session which discusses the theory behind Decompression Chambers, the history and benefits, and the operation of a Chamber.  And what better way to experience the operation than sitting in the chamber and having a dive.  The course includes two chamber dives to 18 and 40 meters and a certificate to document your participation.

Ideally suited for people who want to stay in the diving loop over the winter period, or people who want to discover an aspect of diving thats a little different.  Also a great way to experience the affects of nitrogen narcosis in a safe environment, particularly good if you have never experienced them before.  Experience first hand the signs and symptoms of Narcosis and take part in this very rewarding course.

Cylinder Testing Course
Ever wondered how we know whether a cylinder can handle the riggors of the underwater environment and also safely contain the incredible pressure of air that is forced into it?  Well there is now a course that will let you see what is involved in test procedures required of every cylinder every year.  Each cylinder you use need to be declared in a sound state by the appropriate authority - see how its done.

Ideally suited for people who want to stay in the diving loop over the winter period, or people who want to discover an aspect of diving thats a little different.
