MEDICALS

Before you can undertake the PADI Open water course, you must pass a dive medical.

Dive Medicals

The dive medical isn’t too strenuous, and anybody with a reasonable level of fitness should be able to pass. However, some conditions (such as diabetes) which may pose a serious risk when diving may preclude you from diving.

Not all doctors can, or will, perform a dive medical. Fortunately, SPUMS has a list of certified doctors.
