Discover
Scuba Diving
Lets put things into perspective... We can have a complete
non-swimming, potential diver in the water after just 1
hour! Our experienced instructors allow you to experience
the Discover Scuba Diving program in a relaxed and safe
environment.
Scuba Instructors provide all the theory you require in a
short lecture. You'll learn a few golden rules, learn a
little physics, have a bit of a laugh, review all the
equipment then its off into the swimming pool!
In the pool - you will be introduced to those first breaths
on SCUBA and its guaranteed to be an experience you'll never
forget. Our qualified instructors will take you through some
lighthearted SCUBA Physics and Physiology, then introduce
you to your SCUBA equipment and some essential skills in the
safety of a confined water swimming pool.
The confined water session is 'performance based' not 'time
based'. This means you can take your time because you only
progress once you and the instructor feel confident with
your abilities and your equipment.
Once happy with your new found skills you're ready for a
guided tour of the local underwater area. This is where the
fun really starts. Your fully supervised dive gives you a
chance to see a large variety of fish and plant life.
Stingrays, Groper and Octopus are just a few of the things
you are likely to bump into on your dive anywhere to a
maximum depth of 12 meters.
This SCUBA experience is a must for divers not able to
commit to a full time course or divers who just want to
discover what the underwater world has to offer.
Scuba
Diver
The SCUBA diver course is the next step from Discovering
SCUBA. This three day course prepares you both theoretically
and practically for the underwater environment. This
certification is structured just like the Open Water course
however has two training dives and provides you with a
certification to dive with a PADI professional to a maximum
depth of 12m.
This course is suited to the traveling diver who will not
need deep diver certification to dive shallow reefs and
bommies, and will generally find all dives guided by a PADI
professional. Once again it also aids divers not able to
commit to a full time course
Open
Water Diver Course
The PADI Open Water Course provides all the requirements for
full certification which means that after this 4 days course
you'll be able to dive anywhere in the world... and its a
certification for life!!!
This 4 day course involves the use of the PADI Open Water
Diver Manual to enable Student Divers to feel comfortable
with the Theory behind diving. With the aid of this manual,
classroom sessions, quizzes and a short exam the instructor
is able to progress to confined water safe in the knowledge
that you know your stuff.
Dive Physics and Physiology play a large part in the art of
diving but much time is also spent on aspects of the
adventurous side of the sport and SCUBA Equipment. The
equipment that you'll use is of great quality, but we still
want you to understand its operation inside and out. As we
say - there is a lot of hard work, but the instructors are
there to make sure there is a lot of fun along the way
too.
The course consists of one day of theory, one day of
confined water skills and two days of Ocean skills - but we
want to get you in the water as soon as possible too - so we
promise you'll be wet in the afternoon of the first day and
you'll be in the Ocean looking at all the fishies first
thing on the second day! The course is conducted at a
relaxed pace being 'performance based' not 'time based'.
This means you can take your time with the skills so that
both you and the instructor feel confident in your abilities
before progressing to the next level.
A full diving medical is required for this course, also the
ability to swim 200m and tread water for 10 minutes. We also
recommend applying for your Open Water Course at least two
weeks in advance. This gives student divers time to obtain
their dive medicals and view PADI reading materials prior to
the course starting. Once certification is obtained you will
hold a PADI Open Water Qualification enabling you to dive
anywhere in the world to a maximum depth of 18 meters.
