You can choose to begin your Open Water course in one of two ways:
- eLearning - learn ONLINE in your own time at your own pace!
- Traditional Learning - we supply you with an Open Water Crew Pack which includes your Open Water manual, dive tables, log book etc. Work through your manual at home at your own pace! Prices start from $460 per student. If reading isn’t your thing, for an extra $50 your Crew Pack will come with an Open Water Diver DVD, which eliminates reading the manual!
During your course you’ll cover the fundamentals of scuba diving during your knowledge development sessions with your instructor. You will also have plenty of opportunities to develop and practice your dive skills during your sessions in the pool. As you progress you will put it all together during 4 exciting ocean dives! At Ulladulla Dive & Adventure we also include a 5th ocean dive as a bonus!!
The PADI Open Water Diver course is incredibly flexible and performance based, which means that we can offer the program on a wide variety of schedules and paced according to your needs. Generally, you will complete the course over 4 days, either consecutively or over two weekends.
Prerequisites
Ulladulla Dive & Adventure, PADI & the Australian Standards require the following;
- Each student must present a Dive Medical examination, to Australian Standard 4005.1-1992 (forms provided upon registration).
- Minimum age of student is 10, no maximum age.
- Children under the age of 15 must be accompanied by a parent or adult over the age of 18.
- Must be able to complete a 200 metre swim (any stroke, no time limit) & be able to tread water (float) for 10 minutes.
- For hygiene purposes each student must provide their own mask, snorkel & boots. These items can be purchased through the store at special course rates.
- Prior to the course commencing all students are required to complete liability waivers. Any students under the age of 18 must also have a parent or guardian sign each waiver.
These pre requisites are designed to ensure that you are able to complete the course safely and confidently.
Inclusions
